HP Pavilion HPE h8-1100 Desktop
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

My original pci express card died on me. Bought a sensible price MSI GeForce gt 710 pci express card. Switch pc on and it just show a blue bios screen. Will not boot into windows. Bios version is 7.12 and I understand from searching the problem I need at least 8 bios. But I cannot find it . Help please

Here is the support page for that series desktop.  As you can see, when you go to check out the specifications, there are many models in that line.  For exact help the model number needs to be given, but for a sample the model I checked was this

It shows a IPISB-CU (Carmel2) motherboard, which has a known problem just as described in your post.  The BIOS in the 8.** range was not issued
