HP ProOne 400 G1 21.5-inch Touch All-in-One PC (ENERGY STAR)

I already was able to get my money back and the guy said to keep it and now isnt responding.  I found cage online for 12$  now how do I get the right Hard drive with OS on it and get this CPU running  Its for mY gfs mom for Christmas.  Ill take any advice so i can fix this.   Thank you

Hi:

 

What size drive cage did you get for the PC?

 

2.5" or 3.5"?

 

The product specs indicate that the PC supports both 3.5" mechanical hard drives and 2.5" solid state drives.

Hard drives will not come with operating systems on them.

 

You will need to install the version of Windows the PC came with from the factory which was probably Windows 8.1 Professional 64 bit.

I got the 2.5   Cage.   So Id like to just put a 500 GB on it or smaller.  Her mom just plays candy crush and uses facebook.  its getting hard for her to see so this is better thatn a chrome book.

As far as reinstalling Windows...

 

You can download the 64-bit W8.1 ISO file from the link below.

 

Select the first version (plain W8.1) from the drop down list.

 

Download Windows 8.1 Disc Image (ISO File) (microsoft.com)

 

Use the free Rufus utility to transfer the ISO file to a USB flash drive so that it is bootable.

Set Rufus up the way you see it in the illustration for Windows installations.
