Hello,
My built-in SD card reader is not working. I've tried updating the driver(s), disabling & enabling, uninstalling & reinstalling.
No results. I tried cleaning the port as well. Note: Before it completely quit working it did work with several insert/eject procedure tries. So I think the BIOS is ok. Maybe a loose wire connection ? I hope the hardware itself isn't shot.
Will someone please help ?
PS: I can use an adapter for the USB ports & it works fine.
Thanks !!

Manual: is how to get at the part, and track the wiring back to the motherboard. The plug might be loose. That way you can check both plugs. The part number label is on the casing.
HP PartSurfer is showing part number 505073-001. But that looks wrong when I look it up.
