Omen 870-244
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Not terribly impressed with the 870-244 case. It's basically a traditional PC case from the early 2000s. I much prefer the Omen Obelisk case. It's more like a modern build case. Based on some of the pictures I've seen, I'm wondering if it's actual a case may by MainGear like the Omen X. At least that is what I heard about the latter case.

Anyway, I'm wondering if there is a source to buy an empty Omen Obelisk case. I've trawled the internet, checked on eBay, perused Amazon with no luck. It would probably be just as well to buy a case and transfer the component, just a decent modern build case, but I really like the look of the Obelisk case.

I've seen quite a few, in fact many, 870 style cases for sale empty which leads me to believe people are gutting them and putting the components in other cases.

the Omen cases do not have a replaceable rear I/O plate the I/O ports are directly stamped into the rear metal

also, since the omen line is rather new the chances of finding a empty case is rather slim and will be untill they stop making them or the existing ones go out of warranty and begin failing which will be several years from now

the 870 cases are most likely from HP,  and were bought by surplus resellers who buy up excessive inventory and in most cases  they then resell the cases to smaller dealers

Thanks for the information. Obviously, that wouldn't work and the front panel ports are very different.
