I bought this unit refurbished at MicroCenter a couple of months ago, it has a SSD and I really like the performance. I mostly just do email and browsing. The front fan makes a constant buzzing sound, not that loud but very annoying in a small room. I take the unit apart and remove the fan, just leaving it connected and setting it on top of the unit and it seems to run quiet. Maybe I don't hear it simply because it's not enclosed? Reassemble and there is the buzzing again. Would it be worthwhile just to try replacing the fan? Or is there anything else I might try? I would like to hear any suggestions about what I might do to quiet this thing down! Thanks very much for your help!

@MarkM123 , welcome to the forum.

If you are not hearing the buzzing when the fan is outside of the case, it could be a vibration that is causing it.  I suggest that you loosen the fan and place something behind it to see what happens.  Also, if MicroCenter offers a warranty it would be good to contact them for help.  I believe they should replace the fan if it is faulty.
