Can I move Program Files from (C:) to (D:) safely

Before doing anything drastic try to clear up some free space and then look and see exactly where the problem is.  Usually Program Files is the last place to look when making some free room.

Run the clean disk.  Be sure to select system file AND ESPECIALLY remove all previous restore points

Windows 10 has a "location" feature you can use to move stuff from C to D (or wherever).  Not all folders can be relocated.  Info here  None of the folders off the C drive can be "moved" with that tool.  If you really want to move stuff from "Program Files" you need to uninstall the app and then re-install and choose the D drive.  That assumes the installation package allows a choice.

Try the following

Right click on c:\Users and select properties.  It make take a while but eventually the number of files and their total size will show up.  Do the same for Program Files and for Windows, etc.

If Users is really huge (like I suspect) then find the biggest user and folder size in their account.

Post pack here what you find.
