My CD/DVD drive tray will not eject using the manual eject button, nor will right-clicking the drive in File Explorer and choosing eject. Using a paper-clip in the emergency eject hole WILL eject the tray as it should.
- My drive is hp DVDRAM GTA0N

Opening a Stuck CD or DVD Drive Tray (Windows 10, 😎
if it doesn't work even with the system restoring, consider a full reinstallation

My cd/dvd tray does not eject when I press the eject button, nor does it open when right clicking its drive letter and choosing "Eject" in File Explorer. I have tried pressing the eject button before Windows starts - as was suggested by a previous help suggestion...but it is hard to know at what point during the startup process I should press the eject button, because it is hard to tell just exactly when Windows starts...? Or maybe press and hold eject button?

I don't think it changes much
The Cd player is of the same type as on laptops, or brand new computers.
But if not, it was just when the pc started, it seems to me to have no importance with this type of cd player!
has everything in the link been tested?
