My cd/dvd tray does not eject when I press the eject button, nor does it open when right clicking its drive letter and choosing "Eject" in File Explorer. I have tried pressing the eject button before Windows starts - as was suggested by a previous help suggestion...but it is hard to know at what point during the startup process I should press the eject button, because it is hard to tell just exactly when Windows starts...? Or maybe press and hold eject button? Thanks for any help.

I would suggest you uninstall the driver as explained here. Upon re-boot it will find the device and install.

Here is a dialogue that mentions testing during startup. That would mean continued pressing of the eject button as power is applied until the boot process is complete.
