Hi @DONALD97229, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Sure, I can help you with that! Here are the steps to change the battery in your HP X4000 mouse:
- Turn off the mouse: Slide the power switch to the "off" position.
- Remove the cover: The battery compartment cover is located on the top of the mouse. Press the release button and lift the cover off.
- Take out the old batteries: Remove the old AA batteries from the compartment.
- Insert new batteries: Place the new AA batteries into the compartment, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated.
- Replace the cover: Put the cover back on and press it down until it clicks into place.
- Turn on the mouse: Slide the power switch to the "on" position.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
