Apologies for late response.

Your spec is here in case you need it (HP EliteDesk 705 G3 Business Desktop PC):

Give it a go - either yourself or with somebody's help - and don't forget to report back for the benefit of others!

Good luck

OK krzemien, now I'm the one making an apology for a late tresponse.

I wanted to install a second harddrive in the tower before I closed it up and began the recovery of files,

so I ordered a SATA cable.

The delivery took forever and I finally received it this past weekend.

I have the tower up and running now and it is "running on all cylinders" and "purring like a kitten"

Thanks for your advice.

Not a problem - and I take it that new RAM is working fine either?

krzemien, sorry I was not clear.

"All the cylinders are running" and "purring like a kitten", they are old American phrases that refer to a car that is running smooth and powerful.

Yes, all the RAM is working and no problems.

I am curious, what country are you from?

Know both expressions, however was not entirely sure from your response whether you did manage to upgrade your RAM either.

I'm living in Dear Ol' Blightly 🙂

And I'm glad we helped you - enjoy!

Dear Ol' Blightly

Now that's an expression I had not heard.

Had to do a Google search and found a Youtube video with the song "Take me back to dear Ol' Blightly" HA!

England - OK!

Thanks again.
