Hi,
The CPU water cooler gave up for my Envy Phoenix 850se system, and ended up getting a Corsair H60 as a replacement, only to find out that the case wouldn't support a 120mm fan/radiator exhaust!
I am now thinking aobut getting a regular air cooler for the CPU but as it turns out it's really hard to find a low profile cooler that supports the LGA 2011-3 140W CPU I have and the only one I was able to find was Noctua's and they officially do not support HP or other major brands.
How could I salvage this computer? Looking for any recommendations for a third party CPU cooler that would fit and be compatible with my system(case/mobo/connections/installation bracket etc..).
Has anyone with this system tried replacing the CPU cooler at all?
Any help is deeply appreciated, Thanks!

@Velsatis , welcome to the forum.
What is the full model of the computer? I need this information to review the specifications of it. There are several models in the 850 series. Please don't furnish the Serial # or other personal information.

Hi Old_geekster,
Thanks for the reply, the Model No is: 850-065se, It is using a Viking motherboard that came with a AIO water cooler which started making noises after a year and stopped working completely after 3 years.

Hey there! While I don't have the exact system as you (I have an 810se), I did have the same issue. Approximately 18 months after purchase, my liquid cooling system started making awful noises and a month later gave out altogether. After 3 months sitting at HP for repair, they ended up sending it back to me because they no longer carried the part.
After some digging, I discovered that HP actually sourced the parts from Asetek and, after a bit more digging, found the exact cooler I needed. Ordered it, got it in 4 days, had my rig fixed in under 2 weeks after HP's bumbling for 3 months.
I did take a peek at the LC system for an 850se and it looks remarkably similar to the system from my 810se.
That being said, I would check out Asetek's website, give them a call if you need to, and I'm confident that they'll have something that will work for you.
Asking for help from HP is fruitless since Carly Fiorina ruined that company. They never support products for more than a year and their repair center plays Yakety Sax over the PA while they beat each other with keyboards.
Glad I ran across this while shopping for better cooling for my system....
