Hi, I want to know how my computer will be affected after the End of Service Life for the i5-9500 CPU expires. Will I just need to accept that I will need to buy a whole new PC? I would like to keep this one because it still works great, and I did a few upgrades to it, so I don't want to spend more money on replacing it. Can I upgrade the CPU to something that will keep my PC secure? Can I upgrade this system with an  i9-9900 CPU and will it be okay? Can I swap out the motherboard to where I can install a newer CPU that is still protected?

Thank you.

It has Intel Gen 9 CPU, which is a long way to go, could be 10 or 15 years down the track.  Please use the following manual

Page 5 says i9-9900 is an option to upgrade.

Your i5-9500 will still work after EOL but won’t get security updates. You can upgrade to an i7-9700 or i9-9900 if your motherboard supports it (check BIOS update). Swapping the motherboard is possible, but may require a new case, PSU, and reinstalling Windows. If it runs well now, you're fine for general use—just stay cautious with security.
