Hello there in need of some help.
I recently upgraded my PC to WIN 10 PRO I did a fresh install using a brand new SSD everything seemed to be working fine until I ran a Cine-bench Render Test and noticed that the CPU fan did not speed up during this test I opened up the task manager and the CPU was operating around 100% I also ran a CPU-Z test to stress the CPU to see if I could get the fans to speed up and nothing, I started to monitor my CPU temps using CPUID HWMonitor and during these tests I noticed temps got as close as 70 Celsius very concerning considering the max temp for the intel i7 2600 CPU is 72.6 Celsius according to Intel's website, I went into the BIOS and checked under Thermal and by adjusting the Fan Idle Mode i turned it up to Max and rebooted and the fans do speed up but I dont want the fans to be at 100% all the time... I checked there is no updates available for my unit or BIOS update either kind of stuck on what to do any help would be appreciated
Kind Regards.

Greetings,
Welcome to the forum.
I am not a HP employee.
Are you checking Tcase CPU temps or Tjunction CPU temps in HWiNFO? HWiNFO shows Tjunction options directly below core temps.
Any core throttling in HWiNFO when stressing the processor? Newer Intel CPUs usually throttle at 100 C Tjunction temps.
Tcase measures temps at the heatspreader (IHS)
Tjunction measures processor die temps.
Tjunction temps of 70 C in HWiNFO are pretty good when stressing the CPU for an extended period of time.

Hello,
Thanks for replying ,
The temps I am getting are Tjunction I ran another CPU stress test at 100% load for about 30 minutes and it averaged 72 Celsius in HWinfo
I checked and there is no thermal throttling on any of the cores after the 30 min test and fans still did not speed up..
Before I had done the fresh install to WIN 10 Pro 64bit I had WIN 10 Pro 32bit since I had only 4GB RAM after I had upgraded to 8GB of RAM I decided to reinstall now with 64bit, Before the install to 64bit when I would run the CPU stress test.... the fans would speed up under load now with the new install I noticed this issue with the fans...
