So recently my HP Desktop computer started giving us the blue box on bootup with the error 90 B. After doing some research I discovered that it is a CPU fan issue. Also the research shows that this type of issue is quite common with these kind of computers and that the only real way to fix it is to replace the Heatsink fan on the CPU. Problem is, that I cannot find the kind of fan for this particular type of desktop computer online to replace it. I do find some results on eBay but I do not trust anything bought off of eBay farther than I can spit. I need to know what kind of fan is compatible with my computer so I can replace the fan and fix this issue. The computer is only a year or two old and this is the first problem that this computer has given us. We did call Geek Squad to see if they could fix it for us but they said that they do not carry that particular part in stock and that we would have to order the part online and then bring it to them to have them put it in for us. If anyone on support or someone who knows what part will work in our computer please let me know. The computer is a HP Pavilion 570-p064 Desktop running windows 64-bit.
Thanks

You can just replace the fan. It is aPWM 4 pin fan. How to measure it. An 80mm is 3.149".
Here is a pic of the fan, and you will note it is mounted atop the heatsink (4 screws).
If it is 80mm,

I very much appreciate your kind words, and am glad it worked so flawlessly. That is what this forum tries to accomplish. If you get time, which fan did you order. (Just curious).

I ordered the Noctua NF-A8 PWM fan. It was the last link in the list that you had provided. I bought it off of amazon since it is my dads PC and I know he wouldn’t trust Newegg (though I don’t have a problem with it).
