Hello,
A year ago I bought a HP Pavilion gaming TG01-2816nd which I recently decided to "upgrade" I've purchased a new motherboard, power supply and case and built it all in. I had to extract the 5600G that the PC came with so that I could build it into my new motherboard, after doing that everything worked nicely and I recently decided to buy a new CPU and graphics card so that I could make a new PC but with all the old parts that came with the prebuild,
however I need a new CPU for this and since I'm on a tight budget I'd prefer to go with a Ryzen 5 4500, however I'm not sure if this CPU is compatible with the HP 8906 erica6 motherboard I have since it is not specified on the support page. Could someone help me please?
Thank you.

hi
https://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/c07094657
- TDP: up to 65 W
- Socket type: AM4
Processor | TDP |
AMD Ryzen 3 5300G (Cezanne) 4.0 GHz base clock, up to 4.2 GHz max boost clock, 8 MB L3 cache, 4 cores | 65 W |
AMD Ryzen 5 5600G (Cezanne) 3.9 GHz base clock, up to 4.4 GHz max boost clock, 16 MB L3 cache, 6 cores | 65 W |
AMD Ryzen 7 5700G (Cezanne) 3.8 GHz base clock, up to 4.6 GHz max boost clock, 16 MB L3 cache, 8 cores | 65 W |
this is the list of processors tested, validated by hp
a processor, having the same characteristics, supposedly compatible (socket, tdp, chipset), could work, but impossible to guarantee, unless you have already tried, which is not my case
same type erica 5

this leaves a doubt
the motherboards have a different ssid, but there seems to be little difference
