What CPUs can I upgrade to so that my computer is compatible with Windows 11 and beyond?

Unfortunately, your PC is so far back in past generations that your biggest roadblock will be finding drivers, no matter what processor you try to upgrade to.

 

HP does not provide any documentation or driver support for your PC.

 

There are workarounds for installing Windows 11.

You should probably consider upgrading to a PC that has more current hardware.

Your current PC has the old school MBR instead of GPT  volume type for storage and also does not have an EFI BIOS.

Thanks so much, Eric. That’s what I was thinking but had to ask first.

Also, thanks for the Windows 11 workaround. I’ll give that a try first before replacing my PC.
