Hello,

I have a HP OMEN Desktop 25L.

GPU - Nvidia RTX 2060

CPU - Ryzen 5 3600

Motherboard - AMD B450 (87C3)

RAM - 16GB

 

Can I upgrade my cpu to a Ryzen 7 5800X3D (Socket AM4) ?

Unfortunately, your OMEN 25L Desktop GT-12-0xxx as fitted with a Moria3 motherboard (SSID: 87C3), is not compatible with a Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor.

 

The best processor your desktop is compatible with is a Ryzen 9 3900 (12-Cores, 24-Threads, 3.10 GHz up to 4.30 GHz) :

Also verified here indirectly amongst "HP System OMEN 25L Desktop GT12-0xxx" Users where no Ryzen 7 5800X3D CPUs are found: UserBenchmark: HP OMEN 25L Desktop GT12-0xxx Compatible Components.
