Hello! Recently I decided to upgrade my mini PC. Ryzen 5 PRO 2400GE is available to me to buy now at a low price. I know that 705 G4 supports Raven Ridge cpu's, but I'm not sure about PRO version. My question is, will I able to install that PRO cpu at home conditions with no special abilities?

Hi:
The specifications for the model series indicates that the Ryzen 5 PRO 2400GE is supported in the 35W model series.
However, your PC needs to have come with a discrete graphics adapter in order for the processor to work.

So, if your PC just has the onboard AMD Radeon graphics, the processor will not work.

Sorry if I didn't asked question properly. I know that Ryzen 5 2400GE (not PRO) processor is suitable for me. Also I know that PRO processors already installed to 705 g4 from factory. I'm only not sure that I will be able to install Ryzen 5 PRO 2400GE to my 705 g4 on my own with no special issues. I use my 705 g4 as ususal home desktop PC. No PRO features needed. Thank you.

Sorry, I forgot to mention. There are 705 g4 with Ryzen 5 PRO 2400GE processors installed (from factory I believe), but without discrete video cards(there is no room to VC there). Despite specs figured on HP site. Thats why I'm asking my question. Thank you.

Here are the specs on the processor from AMD.

It seems to me that the processor has graphics capabilities included so I don't know why the HP specs indicate that discrete graphics are necessary.
Unfortunately, I cannot determine whether or not you can simply install the above processor in your PC and have it work as yours is now.
It seems like it should, but I can't say for sure.
