HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-0034nl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, what is the latest Intel CPU Series my computer is compatible with?
Does it support up to I5 or even I7 and I9?

@SalvaYTP,

Indeed, @Bill_To posted the HP sanctioned processors (kudos to you), with the i7-9700 and i7-9700F being the most powerful options for your desktop.

In theory though, your HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-0034nl (7MZ64EA) fitted with a Lincs motherboard (SSID: 843B), should be compatible with the i9-9900 -same 65 watt TDP, etc. etc.

The problem is that I haven't found any HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-0xxx fitted with this processor online.  Either people haven't tried it yet, or it has been tried out and found to be incompatible, but failed to leave traceable documentation behind.

Another unknown is that I haven't found any Lincs motherboards fitted with a "K" processor (i5-8600K, i5-8600K, i7-8700K, etc.) even though I believe these processors are likely compatible -despite their higher TDPs.

Anyway, the topic ("is the i9-9900 compatible") has come up a number of times in this Forum, but no clear answer to my knowledge has been provided yet. Come to think of it, I may buy an HP Pavilion 690-xxxx to find out myself.

Kind Regards,
