I have an Elitedesk 705 G2 Sff with a PRO A4 8350B cpu. Can I change the CPU with AMD A10 5800k? I just wanted to know if its possible because i have it lying around and it has more cores that the A4 cpu. I have tried searching on the internet but manuals does not have any CPU support list for this model.

Hi:
It doesn't appear that you can.
This user benchmarking site for the 705 G2 SFF has over 150 PC's running with various components and I don't see that processor listed.

Thank you for the reply Paul_Tikkanen. I have also seen the compatibility test on the site you mentioned. It does not mention why it is incompatible but that was the only solution we could find. I guess i'll stay with the A4 CPU because it's still a decent computer for basic home use and buying another cpu leaves me with two spare cpu that i'm reluctant to build from.

You're very welcome.
The processors supported in the 705 G2 model series are around 3 years newer than the one you wanted to install in there.
That would be one major reason it wouldn't work.
The other major reason is it has a different socket than the ones supported in the 705 G2.
This is the best processor supported in the 705 G2...Socket FM2+

The spare one you have is a Socket FM2

And if you look at the specs, other things are different such as the voltage the processors run at.
