OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 880-553na
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello, I own a OMEN 880 and the CPU fan is dying and on it's way out.

I am looking to replace the cpu fan and the back fan but I have absolutely no idea how to go about finding what will fit or what is compatable.

What I thought would be as simple as looking up CPU fan's has turned out to be a massive task, can anyone help me and direct me to how to find a good high power CPU fan and backfan that both is compatable and will fit!

Please I am desperate

I found the fans here

But please confirm by entering your serial number and looking for "fan"

All you need is the fan.  Do not buy the entire cooling assembly for the CPU.

I recommend you remove the fans first, make a note of the manufacturer part (take a picture of the label) and verify the fan you buy matches the label.  You may want to look for cheaper fans that have the exact label and description.

access to the fan is shown here but  no need to remove cooler

If your CPU fan is spinning but the processor still runs too hot you may want to renew the heat sink compound as shown in this video.  This can be difficult to do and you may want to get a quote and take it to a shop.

For original spare parts, https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer/  is the best source for finding p/n of the part you need then you can look it up on the internet for prices and availability.
