Hi There,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand how worrying it is when your HP Slim Desktop PC S01-aF2000i (52Z14AV) doesn’t start, especially when you need it for work or personal tasks. Let’s walk through a few steps with care and clarity.

1. Perform a Hard Power Reset

This clears temporary memory and resets hardware states:

  1. Turn off the PC completely.
  2. Unplug the power cable from the wall and the back of the desktop.
  3. Disconnect all non-essential devices (USB drives, printers, etc.).
  4. Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  5. Reconnect only the power cable, then press the power button to turn it on.

This simple step often resolves startup issues.

2. Check for Beeps or Blinking Lights

3. Try a Different Power Outlet and Cable

Sometimes the issue is with the power source, not the PC. Try:

  • A different wall socket.
  • A known working power cable.

4. Run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics

If the PC powers on but doesn’t boot:

  • Press F2 repeatedly during startup to enter diagnostics.
  • Run the Extensive Test (takes 2+ hours).
  • Note any Failure ID shown and contact HP Support with it.

You can also download the tool from: HP PC Hardware Diagnostics | HP® Support

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
