According to the following, my PC has the following motherboard:
I bought a new CPU for this machine as it was listed as a compatible one:
Listed as compatible : AMD Phenom II X6 10xxT Six-Core (Thuban core)
What I purchased: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Six-Core (Thuban core)
Now that I have the CPU installed it says that it is not compatible. Is there a BIOS update that I need and if so where do I find it? I realize this is an older machine, but I was looking to get a few more years out of it for my parents as they don't need anything more robust than this. The whole reason why I purchased this CPU is because HP says it is compatible. Has anyone else ran into this and if so how did they solve it?
Thank you.
