All I really want to know is if I can swap out the AMD Ryzen 7 1700 that the comes with the 690-0067c for a Ryzen 5 3600 CPU? I know that the two both use AM4 sockets and have a TDP of 65w. I also found the specs of the sunflower motherboard and have been having trouble finding info on the chipset (AMD Promontory FCH). I am also already aware that the Ryzen 5 3600 is not listed on the CPU upgrade list for the motherboard, but was just curious if this was just because the BIOS don't support it or if maybe it will work and is just not listed because it's a newer CPU since it is still a AM4 socket and 65w which is what the mobo specs say.

Thank you for any insight.

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

Your motherboard may support a Zen2 but HP has to update the BIOS.

So chances are a 3600 will give an "Unsupported Processor" error at boot.

Regards
