Which upgrade would you recommend? .. knowing that i have 64GB installed RAM and a 2 TB SSD drive...

i7-6700 is your top upgrade option. HP offered it with Xeons but those use a different motherboard to support ECC memory.
This would be a major improvement over your i5

Hello again!
I upgraded to i7-6700 but i do not notice major improvements (at all) ... do i have to change some settings ? or update drivers?
I only changed the CPU and my computer seemed to have recognized it by itself.
Please advise.
Thank you!
Camille

You could try running some benchmarks to prove to yourself you really are getting i7 performance but I honestly would not expect huge differences between the i5 and the i7 in everyday performance like boot time, program opening. You would see things like editing a video or something that requires a lot of crunching of zeros and ones being performed faster and that is what I meant by a major improvement. Most workstation users are doing some kind of production work and the i7 will be better at that.

That absolutely should not be. I suggest you download a benchmarking app like Sysoft Sandra and check the performace of your processor against averages for that model processor. Also a diligent technician will always reload the OS after a processor upgrade as certain entries in the registry may lock you in to settings from the old processor. Not really strictly required but certainly a "best practice".

Hello
So i ran a few tests and all say the CPU works very well and everything is optimum except the graphic card (which is rated 'terrible') I still have the one my PC was delivered with : Intel HD graphics 530, which i know is very poor.
I recently bought the NVIDIA M2000M 4GB with the heatsink adapted to the Z1G3 but when i install it my workstation does not start and instead makes a series of 3 long beeps followed by 3 short ones, this 6 times.
I have stopped BIOS secure mode and it still does this ...
The seller of the card assures me the card is fine.
I do not understand what is happening or what i can do.
Thanks for your help!
