Here is the Product Specifications page for the computer:  https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-590-p0000-desktop-pc-series/19390500/model/21299366...

 

If you look at the section titled "Processor/Processor upgrade information" there is a list of compatible processors.  The processors listed have been fully tested to assure they are compatible with the motherboard.  If a processor is not on the list it will most likely not work.
