Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop PC TG02-0000a (4H509AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello!

I have a Victus 15L (TG02-0013w) and I am upgrading my CPU from a Ryzen 5 to a Ryzen 7 (5000 series). I wanted to ask if the fan for the Ryzen 5 will work on the Ryzen 7. Thank you!

As @erico  mentioned, all the upgrade CPUs average 65 watt so the same fan can be used.  The 5700 can peak at 85 watts   The 5700 is about 10-20 improvement Games are generally single thread so the additional threads wont make much difference.

The video (game) difference the VEGA 7 compared to the VEGA 6 graphics unit.

If you run in turbo speed a lot you will want to replace the fan with liquid cooling.  The 65 watt rating is based on the "base" speed and turbo quickly runs the temperature up.  Note that the base speed of the 5700 is slower than the 5600

It will fit, but it is not recommend to use it, unless the process upgrade is to a AMD Ryzen 7 5700G.

It has the same TDP (65W) as the Ryzen 5.

@ Erico & @BeemerBiker,

Thank you both so much! I was hoping this would work until I got a fan upgrade. I have a Ryzen 5700 X as an upgrade and this is wonderful news! Thank you both again and have a great day!

Hello!

Thank you again for the help! Do you have a resource for a fan assembly (including heat sync) that is compatible for the Ryzen 5700 X and the motherboard for my PC as well? Thank you!

You might want to join this forum and ask about CPU cooling

There is ventilation video here

If you have glass or Plexiglas's then consider RGB fans.
