Hi:

Unfortunately, the 705 G4's do not support the Ryzen 5 2600 Pro or Ryzen 7 2700 Pro processors.

Your PC has the best processor supported in the model series.

If you wanted to upgrade the processor to run W11, you can install W11 on your PC but you would have to use a workaround that bypasses the W11 hardware checks.

You can upgrade your PC's W11 21H2 to W11 24H2 on your PC as is, by watching this video, which is the easiest way to do it in my opinion, and I have used several different ways to do this during the last 3 years.

How to Install Windows 11 on Unsupported PC in 2025 (New Easiest Method, No CMD)

After you do all of the updates to W11 24H2, you can use the new Microsoft W11 25H2 enablement package to easily upgrade from W11 24H2>W11 25H2 that I zipped up and attached below.

I tried the enablement file yesterday on my old Dell PC which is considerably older than yours that only has an Intel 4th gen core processor and it worked fine.

Unzip the file, double-click to run the MSU installer and it will automatically update the OS to the new version of 25H2 after the PC restarts.

Then Windows Update will do a couple of updates and you will need to restart the PC again.

@Paul_Tikkanen,

The Windows 11 25H2 upgrade file you attached to your post works great!

Just as a btw, after installation and restarting your PC, you'll still have to run Windows Update to install "2025-09 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 25H2 for x64 (KB5066613)", in order to complete the entire installation of Windows 11 Version 25H2 (OS Build 26200.6584).

Kind Regards,

Hi, @NonSequitur777 :

Glad the file worked for you.

That's correct, my PC that I ran the enablement package on, got that update and a couple others such as a definition update for Windows Defender and some other update that just may have been applicable to the PC I updated.

The net framework update was the one that required a restart.

Cheers,

Paul
