I wanna update my CPU and BIOS as well, but I don't know where to start. Currently, my PC is very slow, and I already upgraded my RAM from 2GB to 8GB and bought a new SSD as well. But I didn't buy a new CPU or graphics card because I thought it may not be compatible with my mobo.
Thanks in advance

I'm so sorry for replying late. I hope I'm not too late. Well, it looks like your mobo supports 3rd gen Intel CPUs (such as the i7-3700), as long as the BIOS is updated. Please not that I am not responsible for any damages done to your PC in the process. As for the GPU, the i7-3700 has a more powerful igpu already, and a more powerful GPU may cause bottlenecks. I hope this helps, thanks for reaching out!

Yes, the Intel Core i7-3770 (not 3700, my mistake) is the best CPU you can upgrade to, since Intel didn't make Intel Core i9 back then. Keep in mind, it may not be super-fast (since it is old too) but should be faster than your current CPU. If you want to update your GPU, let me know. I can help with that 😀. To update the BIOS, open HP Support Assistant (or download it, if you don't have it now). Then press "Updates" and wait for it to check for any. If it has as update, install it. BIOS updates show there, or you may want to check out HP Consumer Notebook PCs - Updating the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) (Windows) | HP® Support. And a Bottleneck is when a part is slower than the rest, keeping the high-end parts from going as fast as possible. Say, I have a really fast CPU, but my RAM is very slow. Then, since the RAM is slow, and the CPU uses RAM, the CPU will not run as fast as it can. Please note that I am not responsible for any damage done to your computer while upgrading. Also, I'm impressed you were able to keep the computer so long! If all my replies are helpful, click on "Yes" if my reply was helpful. Also, you can mark the most helpful one as the solution. Thanks for reaching out, good luck! 😀

I recently got GT630 from my friend, so I installed it and ran some games, it was running alright for 3–4 hours then the screen just went black and shutdown so when I checked the GPU temp, it was above 105C. After that, I removed it from my PC. Could you tell why is this happening? The GPU fan is working fine tho...
Also, I check for any driver updates using HP Support :

I'm glad to hear about your new GPU, but wow, 105c is 15c over the safe temperature! Is it filthy with dust (if so, then clean it)? Was it overclocked by your friend (making the speed faster than stock speeds at the cost of temperature and stability)? Also, you can download drivers for your new GPU from Download The Official NVIDIA Drivers | NVIDIA. Make sure none of your case fans are too dusty, otherwise the heat can build up inside the case. If that doesn't work, you may need to re-apply the thermal paste for your GPU, by opening it up. Or maybe giving it a little less voltage. Also, did you get a new CPU yet (i7-3770)? Please let me know if this helps!

You were right about the dust. It was filled to the brim, so I had to clean the whole thing and reapplied the thermal paste, deleted the old driver using DDU and installed the newest one. Now the temp is around 60-65. Don't know if that's a good temp for this GPU. My friend didn't overclock or overvolt this GPU because he doesn't know about this stuff, but I'm planning to. So please guide me to the right directions, so I can use this GPU to its fullest potential.
Yes, I'm saving up to buy i7-3770k in some time. Found some good deals in AliExpress.
Thank you for helping till now. Appreciate it
