Product: HP EliteDesk 800 G3 Base Model Tower PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP EliteDesk 800 G3 Base Model Tower PC Model 8298 and I want to upgrade my CPU (currently using a Intel Core i7-6700). I want to upgrade to either a i3-12100f or a i5-12400f but I'm not sure if those are compatible with my motherboard. In case they are not, what is the highest gen of intel in my mb, say gen 11 or gen 10 ? Thanks in advance

That would not be possible.

 

The best processor you can install in an 800 G3 MT would be the i7-7700K.

 

Nothing newer or better will work.
