HP Pavilion Desktop - 570-p088na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was recently advised (on HP Chat) that the 256GB SSD that came with this 2 month old PC could not be upgraded (swapped) to a higher capacity SSD.

Could someone please confirm that is correct?

Am I stuck with a 256GB SSD?

Machine has 256GB of M.2 SSD and 3TB of normal HDD. 256GB is plenty of room for Windows and programs. I don't know why you want more capacity for it. One of my laptops only has 128GB SSD and after 5 years with many programs of it, it still has 30% free space.

Anyway, back to your question: you can get larger capacity.

Thanks Provost.

Don't know why the guy on HP Chat thought that the existing 256GB could not be replaced with a higher capacity one.

Visual Studio and SQL Server take up a lot of space.

Many thanks for clarifying anyway.
