HP Slim Desktop PC S01-aF0000a (8QQ65AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I have a Crucial 16GB DDR4 RAM but not sure if the motherboard of HP Slim Desktop S01-aF0000a support 16GB RAM.

Hi:

It may be possible, but according to the motherboard specs, HP indicates the max is 2 x 8 GB.

HP Desktop PCs - Motherboard Specifications, Tobacco | HP® Customer Support

You can do this to see how much memory your PC can support:

1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.

This will open the command prompt.

2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.

There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.

The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

Thank you for your response. I ran the command you provided and I'm surprised as it says the motherboard supports 32GB memory. I couldn't find the same thing on docs but happy now that it'll support my 16gig stick.

Thanks again for your help.
