This desktop computer came with an SSD drive and a hard drive. Wondering if it has a slot to add an additional hard drive. Thought I would ask here before going to the trouble of cracking open the case.

OK, sort of.
From: OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 870-130 Product Specifications
Product Number: X6F55AA
- Form factor: uATX: 24.0x24.0 cm (9.4x9.4 in)
- Chipset: Z170
- Memory sockets: 4 x DDR4
and the picture shows 5 SATA ports (your CD/DVD, your SSD device, your disk-drive, 2 unused).

Pause this YouTube video at either the 0:28 or the 0:59 point, to see the drive-cage.
You'll see two SATA cables entering the cage, and two "power" connectors, connected to the SSD and the disk-drive.
There seems to be room inside the cage for another disk-drive.
There seems be another power-connector available, in the immediate vicinity.
Of course, you can run another SATA cable from the motherboard to the additional disk-drive.
Note that those SATA cables each have an "L-shaped" connector, to properly fit into the chassis -- be sure to buy/use such a cable, if you need to replace the side-panel.

You will need Fillister head screws to mount the hard drive.
The specs are shown, all you need is to find the screws.
