HP Touchsmart 300-1210uk
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was about to order an SSD to install in a HP Touchsmart 300-1210uk, however when I went to crucial to make the order, it says "Your computer does not support an internal SSD" & I was wondering if this was a mistake. Surely I just need a 2.5" SATA SSD and an adapter kit for 3,5"

Mr Memory is advertising Kingston SSD with Upgrade kit for this model...who should I believe?

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

Your motherboard supports SATA. Crucial must have messed up.

You will probably need a 2.5 inch to 3.5 inch adapter.

Thanks for a quick response....so if I ordered this together with a SATA SSD I should be good to go & wouldn't need anything else for the install?

Hi MDL501,

The adapter looks good.

You would have to copy or clone the existing operating system from the current HDD to the new SATA SSD.

I use Macrium Reflect free to do this.
