Hello!

I want to install an additionial drive to my computer (www.netonnet.se/art/datorkomponenter/harddisk/ssdsata-25-tum/kingston-ssdnow-a400-120gb/1003737.8993...). I might add that I have updated my PSU to a 700 watt powersupply with several left over SATA cables. Is it possible to install this together with my regular harddrive? What would I need to check out?

Thanks in advance!

Yes you can install it without worries! It will work with any power supply...SSD consume very very little power!!

As long as you have a SATA power cable available..and a SATA cable install it connect it to the motherboard and you are ready to go! I would suggest even that you install your operating system on it as it will speed things up considerably!

Ah thank you! How would I install windows on the SSD? Could I simply install it as regular using the recovery tools and then it would delete windows from the regular drive? Thanks in advance!

Well..I am not sure you can use the tools...but I will suggest you a simpler method...to Clone your hard drive to the new SSD you will buy...The Cloning software will amke a copy of your Hard drive to the SSD making it bootable, with all the partitions including the recovery one...so you will have no problems...

I guess now you will ask me about the Cloning software...so that will depend on the SSD you will buy...for example...if you will buy a Samsung SSD...then you will use Data Migration Software (cloning) from the Samsung website...

If you will buy a Kingston SSD...then you will download and use their software to clone the existing hard drive to the new one!
