Can I order a SAS 6Gbps hdd to upgrade my current SATA 3Gbps that I am using on desktop pc

While I was exploring how to upgrade my hard drive, I came across SAS Hard drives, they say these are faster and more advanced than sata hard drives. I am about to upgrade my pc and looking for relatively cheaper options, once I buy the stuffs separately I call a friend to assemble it for me. My current sata drive is 160GB and it says it is sata 3gbps technology drive. I want to replace it with a near to 900+gb should I go for the same sata thing or should I select sas stuff, once of the specs that I am interested in states SAS-6GBPS - 1TB-7.2K RPM and I can order this refurbished Hard Disk Drive SAS 6GBPS 1TB (not looking for new, but refurbished sort of stuff)

I am looking at these options and getting confused with every search, hpe, seagate, toshiba etc etc.

Would that be a viable option or should I stick with SATA hard disk in same specifications.
