Also, I can't tell for certain, but your motherboard most likely doesn't have UEFI: https://www.howtogeek.com/175649/what-you-need-to-know-about-using-uefi-instead-of-the-bios/
HP didn't begin using UEFI until mid-October, 2012. All newer video cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard/Legacy BIOS. The BIOS can't be updated to UEFI.
