(I haven't decided which specific RTX 4070 manufacturer, open to suggestions)
Will it physically fit in the case?
Is it compatible with the Odense2-K's PCIe (GEN 3) x16 socket?
Will the PSU power it okay and have the correct connectors? Or will I need a new PSU?

Welcome to our peer-to-peer HP Community Forum!
I will give you the same response regarding upgrading to an RTX 4070 as I did here: Solved: Re: GPU upgrade - HP Support Community - 8905110.
Since your OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 870-224 (Z5M58AA) is fitted with the Odense2-K motherboard (SSID: 82F1), which is 24-pin ATX-power enabled, meaning, you can swap your existing 500-watt power supply with a more powerful ATX standard power supply, preferably at least 650-watt if you want to upgrade your graphics card to an RTX 4070. Make sure you watch the replacement PSU's dimensions (LxWxH) for fit inside your case.
I would go with the more compact model RTX 4070 you just referenced.
Kind Regards,
