Hello everyone,
Currently I have a HP Prodesk 600 g2 sff with an core i3 6100 cpu @ 3,70GHz, can I replace that one with an i5 6600k?
The motherboard supports 1151 lga socket so physically it fits, but will it work? When I read out my motherboard with CPU-Z it says I have a HP Model 805D KBC Version 05.26, chipset skylake 07 and southbridge IDA147.
I tried googling for the motherboard to find out if it will be compatible but I can't find anything on the motherboard itself, so hopefully some one here will have an answer!
Any help will be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Hi,
First of all, thank you very much for your reply, almost just bought the i5 6600k without knowing!
I want to do a bit of casual gaming, would you recommend the Core i5-6600 or Core i7-6700? Price difference is around €90 not sure if it's worth it.
Thanks again!

Here the comparison, for games is always better to jump to an I7:

Value yourself regards.:smileywink:
