Can I upgrade my  hp 500-205t PC  to Windows 11 or Windows 10.

Note: This PC has the Intel Core i5-4570 processor

Windows 10 is a viable option.

The drivers are at the driver download page for your desktop PC.

Note that Microsoft recently closed the loophole that allowed folks to continue to get the free upgrade from W7>W10 beyond the original July 2016 free upgrade deadline a few months ago.

 

It's official: No more free Windows 10 upgrades | ZDNET

 

You will most likely have to buy a license and product key to upgrade to W10.

 

If you want to do that, and then want to upgrade from W10>W11 (which is still free), you can read this discussion for how I upgraded several HP and Dell notebook and desktop PC's that did not meet the W11 hardware requirements to W11 22H2.

 

You have to use the version of the Rufus utility that I zipped up and attached in the discussion (v3.18).

If the in-place upgrade fails, then you will need to clean install W11 using the bootable W11 installation flash drive you made with Rufus.
