Hey guys I currently have the HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-00xx, i5-8400 CPU @ 2.80GHz 2808 Mhz. Can I upgrade from the i5? The desktop itself is pretty small. If I can, what's the options do I have to upgrade to. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Tadhg.

Hi,
The Lincs motherboard (MB) CPU upgrade options can be reviewed at this (Link).
The Rother MB can be reviewed at this (Link). Either MB is used in a 690-0000i MB (Link). Look at Product Information then Product Specifications using the third link to find your specific MB.
It looks like you can do a i7-9700.
I would check for a BIOS update but it looks like your MB supports this upgrade using the factory BIOS.
