I have a HP 6200 Microtower Business Pro

My model number is XL504 AV and serial number is [Personal Information Removed]. I have 8 gb ram, stock mobo videro card.

Can I upgrade my quad core I-3 2100 3.10 GH to a quadcore  I-5 like I-5 2500 3.40?

There are some very specific model Intel Core i5 CPUs that are compatible with your desktop's motherboard.

 

Intel Core i5 2400 (3.1-GHz, 6-MB L3 cache) HP P/N 638631-001
Intel Core i5 2500 (3.3-GHz, 6-MB L3 cache) HP P/N  638632-001
Intel Core i7 2600 (3.4-GHz, 8-MB L3 cache) HP P/N  638632-001
