I want to know these things in specific:
I currently have:
1x 8gb ram
1x 1tb + 8gb SSHD
I want to do the following:
Upgrade the RAM and the Data Storage into:
1- I want to buy a new 1x 8gb ram, so I can have a maximum of 16 gb ram. Can I do this or there is only a one RAM slot and I need to buy a new 1x 16gb RAM?
2- I already have a mini mSATA 128gb ssd, can I add it to the present storage or should I replace the whole SSHD with a new SSD?
Please answer with details. Thank you.

Hi,
According to the service manual your PC supports max 12GB of DDR4-2400Mhz RAM.
However, your PC will run with 16GB of DDR4-2400Mhz RAM (2x8GB) and might even run with 32GB of DDR4 RAM.
There are two slots, so you can add another stick of 8GB.
On page 58 of service manual you can see the steps to upgrade RAM which is not real simple in your PC, as you need to remove the motherboard to get to the slots.

You can replace the hard drive with a 2.5" SSD which will increase everday performance. You can not use the mSata drive.
Your PC also supports M2 SATA3 drive, so you could add to the computer and keep the original HDD. However before buing M2 drive I would check if the M2 slot is present on the motherboard. Sometimes it is not included on models which came without M2 drive.
You can see the position of the drive on link below. Click on solid state drive in list on left.
