Pavilion P7-1517C
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My computer is old, but when it runs, it runs pretty well. However, I have gone through three or four hard drives that fail suddenly and I would really like to game and stream. I'm trying to decide if I can upgrade some of my current components (motherboard, processor, power supply) to gaming level and add a graphics card and a sound card. My newest drive is under warranty so I'll have a decent drive, the optical drive, and network card to use. I'm unsure if I would be able to transfer my current memory or need more cooling.

If anyone has some ideas or suggestions for what to do, I would appreciate it. If it's a lost cause and I should just buy or build a new gaming computer, that would be helpful, too

Thank you for your time.

@SadrianaZea Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you would like to upgrade the parts.

The Pavilion P7-1517C is not a gaming desktop. upgrading the parts it will high cost.

I would suggest you purchase a gaming laptop or desktop.
