I have an old Dell laptop and would really like to know if I could upgrade the processor for it from Intel Core i3 380M. Possibly a free method?

There are a few CPU Upgrades but you  may not have the Turbo Frequency Option with an upgrade.

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

You would have to ask this question in a Dell Notebook/Laptop forum to get the best answer.

Regards
