Product: HP Compaq dc7800 USDT
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi, I have a Compaq dc7800 USDT (Ultra Slim Desktop PC)  with a Core 2 Duo CPU and I'm curious if I can upgrade to a Quad Core CPU.

If it possible, what Quad Core CPU support the motherboard.

I don't want to buy a CPU if I can't use it.

See this discussion...the Q8400S worked in the dc7900 USDT.  Can't guarantee it will work in the dc7800 USDT, but it might since they pretty much support the same processors.

Thank you, I can buy from a local store a Q8200S 65W TDP CPU and if it dosen't work, they will buy back.

Next week I will buy the CPU and I will report about the results.

Aloha, unfortunately the Q8200 and Q8200S dosen't work with the dc7800 USDT motherboard.

You can view the test videos on my youtube channel, I tested 3 Quad Core procesors but neither one of them

worked.

Q6600 - 105W TDP

Q8200 - 95W TDP

Q8200S -65W TDP
