There is a little leaver under the fan, this gives me the impression that the processor is upgradable. I looks like the processor can be taken out easily by pulling the leaver, I just wanted to make sure before I bought the processor. My pc is a HP Compaq dc7700 with 8GB of ram, 500GB hdd and an Intel core duo processor.

Hi:
You wouldn't be able to upgrade the processor to any Intel core processor.
The best you can do is the E6700 Conroe 2.66 GHz processor.

You're very welcome.
I recommend the AMD HD 6450 low profile card. It is a low wattage card that should work with the 240W power supply your PC has.
