Can I upgrade to 16MB of RAM?

According to the product specs at the link below, the maximum memory is 4 x 2 GB for a total of 8 GB.

I was looking for other specs from Intel, and Intel doesn't say much about the chipset.

I looked at other motherboard manufacturers, and for the G43, they also show the max is 8 GB.

I have the HP 8000 Elite CMT with the Q45 chipset, and it can take 4 x 4 GB of memory.

I was hoping I could find some contradicting info regarding your PC only being able to take 8 GB, but I can't.

 

If you have some 4 GB DDR3 memory chips handy, you could experiment, but I wouldn't go out and buy any.
