Product: HP Pavilion Desktop - 550-192
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I would like to upgrade sound card to a card with either a  5.1 surround sound or optical output to use a Sono's port to use my Sono's speakers

@km2 , welcome back to the Community.

 

I don't see any reason why a Sound Blaster sound card won't work with your system.  There is a PCI Express 2.0 x1 slot on the motherboard.  If you want full verification, I suggest that you contact Creative Labs Tech Support.  They are the Experts on their products.
