TP01-2066
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This desktop came with one 16GB RAM (M378A2G43AB3-CWE, Samsung, 1.2V)

To use the dual channel, I ordered 8GBx2 (BL2K8G32C16U4B, Crucial, 1.35V).

I found the new ram require 1.35V and checked my Bios, but there is no RAM voltage/bandwidth option.

Can I use the 1.35V RAM with this PC? Is there a way to adjust the RAM voltage?

Thanks for reading this!

You're very welcome.

All DDR4 memory is 1.2V.

What is DDR4 Memory? Higher Performance - Kingston Technology

I do not recommend that you use gaming memory because the timings are different than the standard DDR4-3200 memory that your PC came with, and you can't adjust the memory XMP profile in the BIOS.

Add the standard Crucial DDR4-3200 16 GB memory with the green colored circuit board in the empty slot and max out the memory to 2 x 16 GB which will also run in dual channel mode.

Hi,

The DDR3 1.35V memory will not fit in your PC's memory slots, because it runs at a slower speed and higher voltage than your PC uses.

The notch in the memory is cut in a different place which will prevent the wrong type of memory from being installed.

See the memory upgrade information under the motherboard specs on your PC's specs page.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

I am not trying to use DDR3, both RAM memories (default samsung and new crucial) are DDR4.
The crucial one require/support the higher voltage, though.

Thank you again.

For others, I just got and tested Crucial Ballistix 3200 MHz DDR4 DRAM Desktop (1.35V; shipping was very fast).

And the pair worked but the speed was limited to 2666 not 3200 (because voltage cannot be adjusted).
